INTRODUCTION

The Tanzania Meat Board (TMB) inaugurated in November 2008 has the mandate to enforce the Meat Industry Act No. 10 of 2006. It also has the mandate to establish a proper basis for its efficient management to ensure provision of quality services to the meat industry stakeholders for the production of quality livestock, safe and quality meat and meat products.

Vision:

To be “ An efficient Board, effectively support growth of competitive meat industry sub sector by year 2025 “.

Mission:

To “Sensitize, creatively develop, coordinate meat industry stakeholder’s activities and regulate meat value chain for production of safe and high quality meat and meat products to increase meat industry’s contribution to the National Economy ‘.
